Thomas Riesner, expressive, intuitive archaic figures

Thomas Riesner has been self-taught and intensively involved with painting since 1990. In addition to acrylic and ink paintings, drypoint etching is one of his artistic means of expression. Quite spontaneously and suddenly, it literally bubbles out of him.

His expressive, intuitive style of painting is reflected in his seemingly archaic figures and pictorial elements. His pictures exude an atmosphere of originality and spontaneity, most of the motifs are dark.

Thomas Riesner, beschäftigt sich seit 1990 autodidaktisch und intensiv mit Malerei. Neben Acryl und Tuschebildern gehört die Kaltnadelradierung zu seinen künstlerischen Ausdrucksmitteln.

Ganz spontan und unvermittelt kommt es förmlich aus ihm herausgesprudelt, Seine expressive, intuitive Malweise spiegelt sich in seinen archaisch anmutenden Figuren und Bildelementen wieder. Seine Bilder versprühen eine Atmosphäre von Ursprünglichkeit und Spontaneität, die meisten Motive sind Düster angelegt.
