After her studies at the School of Fine Arts in Besancon, where Nacera Kainou studied drawing, painting and engraving, her researches on matter, thickness and density of life impose her reliefs. Sculpture will allow her to better balance these tensions. At 23 years old, she moved to the United States, and during 3 years, she learned the principles of sculpture at the Art Students League of New-York.
Established in Paris for 20 years, she is working the human and animal figure in general and the portrait in particular. Her art pieces are settled in many countries : France, China (Beijing, Shanghai), Singapore, Jerusalem, Mauritania, Senegal.
She was awarded "Chevalier des Arts et Lettres" in 2013 and Official French War Artist in 2014. She is member of the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters.
