Artist Statement

I believe only when the blending of our intellect and vulnerability, anatomical knowledge and intuition will the artist experience that je ne sais quoi or being in the zone. This is a most unique and rewarding feeling, which in spite of all the external opposing forces, gives us the strength to continue walking the path of creativity.

About

Ms. Rodriguez is a professionally trained international classical sculptor and teacher, specialized in the human figure and horses. Since 1996 she has been teaching Classical Figure Sculpture Class with Professional Model from her studio in San Francisco, California. She offers sculpture workshops, private consultations, critiques worldwide and teaches sculpture at Waldorf high school in San Francisco. She is repeatedly invited to give live sculpture demonstrations at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco. Ms. Rodriguez’s is recognized by her powerful style and strong sense of movement, depth, and elegance that is easily recognized throughout her work. Her bronze sculptures are deliberately kept to true Limited Editions of fifteen (15) or under. Her horses have won National Competitions and Best in Show Awards.
