Daan van Doorn studied at the Willem de Kooning Academie, Rotterdam. His work has been seen in exhibitions in the Netherlands, London, Dubai, Belgium, Abu Dhabi , Spain and France. He was commissioned to paint Princess Beatrix, when Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, in 2000 and the Dutch prime minister J.P. Balkenende in 2012 Van Doorn’s work was previously selected for the BP Portrait Award 2011, 2013.
