Brenda Hash creates beautiful portraits in pastels Portrait Society of America Awards One of the leading portrait organizations in the United States is the Portrait Society of America. Its purpose is to foster and enhance an understanding of the practice, techniques and applications of traditional fine art portraiture and figurative works. It has a prestigious and international list of members. Mrs Hash has been honored by this organization three times.

Lone Star Art Guild Awards

The Lone Star Art Guild was born in Brenham, Texas in 1961. It’s membership currently consists of 18 art leagues within a 200-mile radius of Houston, Texas. The yearly convention invites artists who have won an award at any of the member league shows throughout the year to bring their winning works and compete for the grand prize. Mrs Hash has won this award twice.

Pastel Society of Southeast Texas Awards

The Pastel Society of Southeast Texas promotes the beauty of soft pastel painting and educates artists and art lovers of southeast Texas on the qualities of soft pastel as a fine art medium through demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions. The organization has held several international pastel competitions at Houston area galleries. Mrs Hash has won awards at all of these including Best of Show at Morton Street Gallery and the Award of Excellence at the Center for Arts & Sciences.
