I create my sculptures by combining different stones , wood and mixed media. Sometimes a chair back will suggest a wing so I start with that. Other times a stone boulder wants to be a torso. The pieces evolve. I create contemporary sculptures rooted in the classics. I love winged figures and Roman/Greek profiles. I like to leave parts untouched to create a sense of the process. I am aiming for a dreamlike effect.
